no, no, no! HELL NO.

I love that book and now it's going to take months for me to get that pasty, lipstick and eyeliner wearing, orange haired, creepy stare having picture out of my head when I read about Edward. If this is any kind of representation of what they have done to that book in the movie I am NOT seeing it and I was going to. damn.

I did think it was kinda ironic that the name of this picture was "ewcover" when I snagged it. I'm sure "ew" means Entertainment Weekly but I was thinking "EW!!!" was more appropriate.

i got the heads up from over here and could not make it through the night without getting this out of my system. sorry for the tantrum. i'm done now. really.

for a totally dweeby, drooly 'fangirl' moment....

It's been a long time since I've actually been close to drooling over a movie star or movie, possibly since Hugh Grant in Notting Hill, well Hugh Grant in pretty much anything, or Brendan Fraser in the Mummy. But as I have previously disclosed, I am obsessed with Twilight, and as they have recently cast the role of Edward I feel I must document this momentus occassion, if a few days late. Robert Pattinson of Harry Potter fame has been set to play Edward. And I am smitten. I will admit at first I thought to myself, "Who?!?" But once I let this digest I am convinced he is perfect - and honestly, how can you go wrong, he's British?!?

I'm completely addicted...

to the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. They are a fantastic read and completely captivating. I highly recommend them if you are looking for something new to read.

I first heard of these books while teaching 8th grade Art 2. A group of girls would come in every day in a tizzy over how far they had read and what was happening. After this bled over into two more classes and another group that included some boys as well I had to see what all the fuss was about. The premise: a 17 year old girl moves to live with her father in Forks, WA and discovers a 'family' of vampires. I actually wasn't all that interested when I heard the premise - I'd already had my vampire stage in high school when Interview with a Vampire came out based on the novel by Ann Rice. But these books are good. Really good. Wanna know more? Read and find out!
